 I'm not sure I feel any better about my situation, even now that I've had time to catch my breath and take stock of my surroundings. It still bothers me that what should be second nature takes such intense concentration here. I wonder if I've lost my touch?

In any case, it looks like I am a stranger in a strange land. No Jojo. No Messina. No interfering Speedwagon. But I do sense a great deal of aggression in this place. I get the feeling it's not the kind that would attract much tourism. Not that I can't fend for myself...

I just wish I knew what was going on. I can't afford to be wasting my time here. I have people counting on me back in Venice.
